New Orleans 3-Day Itinerary: Jazz, History & Creole Culture

New Orleans 3-Day Itinerary: Jazz, History & Creole Culture

Three nights in a city that doesn’t quite resemble anywhere else in America. Available Year Round | Starting from $2,300 per Guest

New Orleans doesn’t quite resemble anywhere else in America. The food is its own tradition, the music fills the streets rather than just the clubs, and the neighbourhoods each tell a different chapter of the same extraordinary story. Three nights is a focused, well-paced introduction: the French Quarter on foot, the National WWII Museum (one of the great American museums, full stop), the Garden District’s antebellum mansions and oak-canopied streets, and an evening on Frenchmen Street in the Marigny where the live music is real and the atmosphere is unlike anything else. A Creole cooking class and a private cocktail experience at the Sazerac House round out a trip that gives you New Orleans in full, without leaving you with the feeling that you rushed through it.

This is a suggested itinerary — we can tailor it based on your group’s interests and pace.

Three Nights in the Crescent City

Day One – Arrivals and the French Quarter

A private car meets you at MSY and brings you into the heart of the city. Check in at Hotel Monteleone or the Ritz-Carlton for a French Quarter arrival. The afternoon opens with a private walking tour through the Quarter — wrought-iron balconies, St. Louis Cathedral, hidden courtyards. A mule-drawn carriage ride at golden hour adds a layer of unhurried charm. The evening belongs to the Sazerac House Museum for a private cocktail experience, followed by dinner at Antoine’s or Galatoire’s for a first night that feels properly New Orleans.

  • Roundtrip airport transfers via private car (MSY)
  • French Quarter History Walking Tour | 2 Hours (New Orleans Secrets Tours)
  • Mule-drawn carriage ride
  • The Sazerac House | Sazerac Cocktail Tasting Experience

Day Two – History, Art, and the Living City

A full morning at the National WWII Museum with a private tour — allow at least three hours, and take the private upgrade. The afternoon moves to NOMA and the Besthoff Sculpture Garden on the lagoon, then a Creole cooking class at NOSC to connect the cultural thread through food. An evening performance at Preservation Hall — arrive early for a good spot — and dinner at Commander’s Palace or Brennan’s.

  • National WWII Museum | Private tour
  • NOMA and the Besthoff Sculpture Garden | Admission
  • NOSC | Cooking class
  • Preservation Hall | Jazz performance

Day Three – Garden District, Bayou, and Farewell

The Garden District walking tour opens the morning with antebellum mansions, oak canopies, and a very different New Orleans from the Quarter. Mardi Gras World is genuinely surprising. The New Orleans Jazz Museum, compact and well-curated inside the Old US Mint, fills the early afternoon. A boiled crawfish experience — informal, delicious, and completely local — leads into an evening on Frenchmen Street: multiple live venues, real neighbourhood atmosphere, the perfect last night. A private car back to MSY when the time comes.

  • Private Garden District walking tour
  • Mardi Gras World | General admission
  • New Orleans Jazz Museum | Admission
  • Boiled crawfish experience
  • Private Frenchmen Street jazz and music experience
